With their sleek façades, high-tech massage chairs, and efficient, split-level design, the Nail Niobe mini-chain is a cut above the typical corner nail salon. Its immaculately clean trio of locations—two in Murray Hill and one on the Upper East Side—do brisk business in quick, after-work treatments like bikini waxes and precision mani/pedis with a full range of Essie and OPI colors. While the nail services here will run you a tad more than at a neighborhood joint (and prices vary by location), the treatment menu is lengthy, and includes paraffin and reflexology pedicures using a Dead Sea salt scrub, plus numerous options for artificial nail enhancements like fiberglass tips, silk wraps, and the LCN System. Walk-ins are welcome, though you may want to call ahead to book a favored aesthetician for a vitamin C or basic facial performed in one of the private rooms upstairs.
