This large, popular salon entices customers with its relaxed Mediterranean feel and terrific haircuts. No surprise that it draws a celebrity-heavy clientele: It's in the SoHo Grand hotel. Cuts are $90 to $300.

after being recommended to her by a L.A. prive colorist, i've been going to zoe for color since january '05. unlike other salons where colorists often do not take note of your hair texture/history of coloring/etc., zoe is takes all factors into consideration before transforming your hair. i went from dark brown to blonde very quickly, very believably, and, most importantly, very safely, thanks to her!

Growing up in a family of hairstylist, I have always been very picky about my hair and who I let touch it. After moving to New York City, one of the hardest things for me to do was find a stylist that I could trust and that I liked. My boyfriend gave me a certificate for Prive for my birthday two years ago and I have been hooked since. I have my hair cut by Pascal and he is an artist. Watching him work is like watching a masterpiece being created. He also takes the time to talk to you about what you want and what he thinks will work for you to come out with an original cut that works for you.
