At first glace, QUICKbleach Dental Spa looks more like the kind of place you would go to be cryogenically frozen than like the dentistry center it is. Fluorescent and neon lights glow behind translucent walls, molded plastic chairs and hammered aluminum fill the waiting area, and frosted vinyl curtains divide the gleaming white dentist stations, all helping to illustrate QUICKbleach's high-tech take on oral hygiene. While the outfit is a full-service, cutting-edge dental clinic—offering standard fare like cleanings, fillings, and orthodontia—its primary focus is the cosmetic: teeth whitening in particular. The center uses the Rembrandt company's easy, innovative one-hour bleaching system, with a basic treatment that includes the combination of a thirty-five percent hydrogen peroxide gel and exposure to a special plasma light that leaves pearly whites as bright as the local weatherman's. The clinic also has a small retail component that sells Rembrandt products, additional whitening agents, BreathRx halitosis treatments, and Alan Stuart-designed toothbrushes. And for the sake of making the entire spa experience complete, there's also a small sampling of face, bath, and beauty products.
ExtraQUICKbleach is big on maintenance. Its comprehensive treatment includes a basic whitening plus a custom equipment kit and a specially designed plan to keep smiles shining. A one-year membership doesn't include the upkeep accoutrement but does allows patients to come in for up to six treatments in a twelve month period.
