Located on a bustling part of Bleecker Street in the West Village, the modern, brightly lit Robert Kree Salon stands out on a block teeming with designer clothing boutiques. Its renovated, 2,000-square-foot, white interior has the laid-back air of a fifties Hamptons beach cottage: Light beech wood countertops line the thirteen work stations, a stylish couch in the front nook facilitates people-watching from a picturesque window, and clients can enjoy a glass of wine out in the backyard English garden. Founded in 1995, owner Kree Perkins set out to establish a destination salon that catered to both the downtown neighborhood crowd and stylish uptown denizens; fans include local celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Keri Russell, as well as models and editors. Every stylist is handpicked to perform both cuts and color, offering a full service look from start to finish; this enables a more personalized and convenient experience for clients, who gets looked after by the same stylist for all their needs. Known for modern cuts and exceptional color, the salon uses the Framesi shade line, Kérastase products for styling, and their own popular house line, which launched in 2000. Makeup applications are also offered.Note
Twenty percent off for first-time clients on any service booked on a Monday before 1 p.m. Check the website for monthly specials.
