Gold sponged walls and alabaster-skinned statues lend a quaint Old World atmosphere to this facility, which offers the most contemporary of hair-removal methods. While laser is largely used for dark hair and light skin, owner Christian Karavolas employs several kinds of machines to treat various hair textures and shades, and consults about possible skin and hormonal issues before the initial session. Female technicians perform the majority of services, which may be applied to almost any area where hair grows: chin, ears, bikini line, and back being among the most common of a list of twenty-five. After shaving and cleaning the skin, the technician applies a series of laser zaps—concentrated flashes of light and heat that can cause a burning sensation that subsides quickly, but may be felt intensely in sensitive areas like the underarms—continually checking on how you're feeling during the process. For those whose treatments require shaping and symmetry, it's wise to specify exactly what you want and check for evenness at the end of the session. R&J's procedures are best for those committed to a course of six to eight treatments, which can potentially remove unwanted hair for good. — Karen Hudes

Too often great services get lost in the plethora of establishments in a big city. In a city of such diversity of services, Romeo and Juliette stands out as a beacon of professional excellence. I have been using their services for quite some time, and while I moved upstate, I still make a special effort to come down for my treatments. It is a well located, bright, clean and reasonably priced establishment. They have wonderful staff, well trained, licensed and courteous. Their machines are the latest ( and I have checked). They are well versed in skin types and the optimal treatment for each type. I have corralled a few friends and we drive down for a day's indulgence. We get our hair removal and enjoy the city at tje same time. But, the main reason we come down is our treatments.We love being welcomed each time like family, and we love the results. It is so worth the drive and the time to come down for this excellent laser center. Recommended highly and most enthusiastically !

I have been treating my bikini line and underarms for some time now. The results are out of this world !!! My underarms are completely hair free while my bikini has a few strands left here and there. They are really professional, have many lasers and many technicians. They are all very thorough and treat you like a person. I am impressed with Chris, the owner who is there every day, taking care of clients needs. Overall, a 10 out of 10 !!!
