Profile
Opened in March 2006, Skin Thera P is a spa-meets-cosmetic-medical-center whose main interest is anti-aging procedures and skin maintenance. Founder and medical director Dr. William Greenberg works on-site and is available to consult with every client, devise a treatment plan, and address all skincare questions and concerns; these consultations are free with any service. Customers can choose from a large assortment of doctor-performed treatments like Botox, Cap Zap, and Restylan, as well as more than a dozen masks and peels and a variety of facials. These include the Vitalize peel with its strong mix of cosmeceuticals; the Anti-Aging GHK Copper facial, with copper peptide and potent antioxidants; and a men’s facial that comes with an upper-back massage. Laser hair removal, cellulite reduction, and Zoom teeth whitening performed by an in-house dentist are also available. Skin Thera P is serious about its skincare products, too, stocking more than 50 different prescription-strength items from companies like Obagi, Skin Medica, and Neova. Crisp and clean, colorful and comfortable, this spa feels like a mom-and-pop shop set in a modern, high-tech space. — Alix Strauss

Having paid in advance for three ReFirme treatments
was a big mistake. I was told the treatments
would last an hour. The first lasted 45 minutes,
the second, 35 minutes and the last 23 minutes.
The technician, Connie Vargos is incompetent.
My face was burned so badly on one side during
the last treatment that I had to rush to my dermatologist
for medication. The doctor who heads this storefront
sham is not a dermatologist, but a general internist
who uses some device when you come in to look
at your skin and then attempts to sell the many
expensive products to you. This is the kind of so called spa
that pretends to be run by a dermatologist with
an inept technician that should be put out of business
by the medical profession. Dr. Greenberg should lose his
medical license, that is, if he really has one.
I have been to plenty of medical spas in NYC, and I can say that Skin Thera P really does surpass them all. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and honest. My first encounter was over the phone with the spa manager who encouraged me to come in for a free consultation with Dr. Greenberg (I needed/wanted Botox). Since it was my birthday I received 30% off who knew?! Dr. Greenberg did a great job and according to the staff has a loyal following you can include me in the mix!!!
Besides Botox, I have become a faithful client I have my facials done at the Spa with Connie my last facial was a Mesoderm Facial which gives the skin a facelift and makes it look smooth and glowing all over. She uses a funny machine, but dont let that deter you, the results are FAB! And the products that were recommended esp the Neocutis have done wonders.
I also have started doing laser hair removal at the spa and the results so far have been fab. I would recommend Skin Thera P over any other Medical Spas in NYC. You wont be disappointed!
