An offshoot of the once ubiquitous Bloomie Nails, Spa Belles is a veritable supermarket of beauty services—a bright, immaculate chain that runs short on personality, but long on treatments for its after-work crowd. Much of the first floor is dominated by an assembly line for nail services: $12 basic manicures or a spa-like pedicure with a foot-and-leg mud mask, callus removal, and a ten-minute massage. Beyond the back wall of OPI and Essie polish displays is a warren of private rooms for airbrush tanning, eyelash extension, massages, and waxing; body treatments like mud wraps, microdermabrasions, and oxygen/light therapies are relegated to the basement. Spa Belles pedals G.M. Collin and Sothys skincare lines and if you favor a D.I.Y. approach, they’ve got take-home mani-pedi kits, too.
