R&R is the name of the game at this hair salon just steps from Chelsea Market, where silky robes with beaded detail take the place of traditional, black barbershop covers, and champagne and cappuccinos are served with your trim. Oribe alum Jordan Blackmore and his business partner Andi Potamkin opened the space in 2009, hiring on six additional stylists and colorists, among them senior stylist David Dieguez, a Santa Cruz native, who aims for effortlessly cool looks, but keeps practicality in mind, so that hair looks as good in real life as it does in the salon. Three Squares, which claims Marc Jacobs and model Irina Shayk as clients, also offers extensions. Aim to snag a chair facing the enormous hanging mirror and enjoy a bit of people watching as New Yorkers and tourists mill up and down 17th street behind you.
