Stacey Lyn Weinstein’s four-chair salon has the dimensions and casual vibe of a living room. Many of the clients sipping small-batch white wine learned of her talents in bridal glossies, where Once Upon a Bride, her niche beauty business, has been frequently touted. But Weinstein opened this Noho lounge–cum–salon — which doubles as OUAB’s rehearsal studio — to expand her clientele beyond the chapel. To that end, she’s got six stylists, two makeup artists, a microbraid specialist, and an airbrush-makeup wizard as well as a host of freelancers whose coifs and smoky eyes have appeared in Elle, Glamour, and InStyle. Aside from revitalizing haircuts by cutting long bangs or muting overly brash highlights, this team is expert at styling, too: In a half-hour they’ll create loose waves paired with lush black lashes. That’s the kind of look that could get someone to propose.
