Situated on a semi-bustling block where the Lower East Side begins to give way to Chinatown, Vogue Day Spa feels a cut above your typical waxing and nail place. Though the bright storefront space is immaculately clean and well stocked with Dermalogica and Gernetic products, regulars don’t come for the décor or the ambience. Instead, it’s the well-edited menu of East-meets-West skin care and body treatments that attracts financial-district workers on their lunch break and budget-conscious East Villagers on weekend evenings. Facial standouts include the hydrating facial, a customizable complexion-brightening treatment that comes with a complimentary eyebrow shaping. In the massage department, the services are limited (basic, reflexology, and hot stone), but so’s the price.
