Profile
A favorite of Bergdorf blondes, Yasmine D'jerradine's chic, Moroccan-inspired spa is an oasis of high-end calm. Opened in 1997 on the ground floor of an office building just steps away from Barneys, the intimate space—done up with plush shantung pillows, low ottomans, and a gurgling limestone fountain—offers a full menu of massage, body wraps, and post-surgical care, but is perhaps best known for its Remodeling Facial, a dramatic anti-aging treatment that uses electric current to stimulate facial muscles. French-born owner Djerradine earned the name "Mrs. Frankenstein" back in the eighties when she was among the first stateside estheticians to use electricity on the face; today, after decades of improvements and innovation in the realm of high-tech facial equipment, she calls the process the best alternative to surgery. In addition to offering hair removal and cellulite treatments, D'jerradine employs a rotating cast of freelance experts from around the globe, who visit a few times a month to perform acupuncture and semi-permanent makeup—an intricate tattoo process for brows, eyes, or lips.
