Zen Spa lives up to its name without the help of waffle-weave robes, scented oils, or trickling waterfalls. The standout here is massage: thorough enough to work out the kinks, soothing enough to melt away stress, and inexpensive enough to get on a weekly basis. Located on the less-trafficked end of Thompson Street, the storefront space also offers waxing, facials, manicures, and pedicures. At the back, in a three-table massage room (separated by a curtain), owner Cici Cheng and her staff deliver deep-tissue massages that incorporate kneeling up and down one's back and end with steam towels. Just off the tidy lobby, decorated with white brick and bamboo, is a room for waxing and facials, administered with GM Collins products. Two oversized chairs for manicures and pedicures sit in a foyer; Arbonne’s anti-cellulite creams and Nutrimin C and Opi polish are available for sale.
