Towering trees, onstage blizzards, and pretty ballerinas. Why mess with the success of the late, great choreographer George Balanchine? This Nutcracker sets the standard. And while the show is magical on its own, it is also a showcase for the company’s stellar younger dancers, providing a peek at who might step into the spotlight next. This year, look for the dramatic Adrian Danchig-Waring as the Cavalier, sparkling soloist Tiler Peck in her first Sugarplum, and new additions Erica Pereira and Allen Peiffer as the star pair.
