Profile
Andy Warhol recently became the second-highest grossing artist after Picasso, but his films remain largely unseen. MoMA’s working on it: Their weeklong run of the artist’s three-and-a-half-hour dual-screen opus Chelsea Girls begins Saturday. Starring the usual assortment of Warhol "superstars" and featuring music by the Velvet Underground, this milestone of underground cinema is boring, hilarious, and completely unforgettable. It will also tide us over until his Museum of the Moving Image retrospective in November.
