Profile
This venue is closed.
The drab Wall Street District Hotel seems geared towards finance professionals whose companies aren’t too liberal with the expense accounts. Affiliated with Holiday Inn until 2004, the hotel still offers standard chain hotel-style rooms, with the bonus of high-speed Internet access for each guest and extra business services. While its proximity to the exchanges and major investment houses is certainly convenient, the area turns into a ghost town in the evenings, making it a struggle to find non-hotel dining options within walking distance. Add the inconvenience of a major condo construction project on one side complete with insults hurled by striking union workers—as of press time, they’ve been protesting the hotel’s working standards on and off for fifteen months. Non-corporate travelers will at least benefit from the hotel’s substantially cheaper weekend rates.
ProsBusiness travelers with no intention of leaving their room will find everything they’re looking for.
