For the corporate road warrior who has discovered how expensed four-course meals and endless travel delays can affect the waistline (and the psyche), the Affinia Dumont offers a solution: a fitness-obsessed hotel. From the Oasis Day Spa and the fully equipped gym, down to the yoga flashcards in the guest suites, the hotel promotes a lifestyle of health and wellness. The suites come with full kitchens and office furniture, though they won't be winning any awards for design. Beds with oversized headboards, dimmable lighting and ample closet space make for a sufficiently comfortable stay. The in-house spa's facial, scrub, and wrap treatments, and 17 kinds of massages, make for a sufficiently pampered stay.
Pros
The friendly, unpretentious staffers gamely do all they can to accommodate weary business travelers.
Cons
The decor is somewhat pedestrian and the rooms lack personality.
A Guide to the New Hotel Glut
