Profile

The Barclay's bus terminal-sized lobby has a Neo-Federalist feel, complete with green-and-black Tennessee marble floors and copper-filigreed lighted-glass panels on the ceiling. With such beautiful design elements, this doesn't feel like a typical business-friendly hotel, yet suits steadily file in and out, likely making use of the 18 on-site meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment and office support services. Of course, the 686-room, 86-suite hotel welcomes guests of all stripes, providing them with ample amenities: A full fitness center, audio/video library and high-speed Internet access are available, though the extremely large, extremely comfy beds seem the best loved of all.

Pros

The Barclay Bar & Grill located to the side of the lobby is a scene all its own during after-work hours.

Cons
With all the business travelers, the hotel can feel very busy—and according to some vacationers, the not-so-personable staff doesn't make stays that much more relaxing.

Weddings
For 80 years, the Barclay has specialized in customizing weddings to fit the bride and groom’s vision—from the food to the décor in the classic, window-lined ballroom and other spaces, which seat anywhere from 20 to 240 guests.
