Ooh and aah over designer George Patero's impressive cherry wood and blue-glass lobby, then zip straight to the back and snag a seat in the living room-type lounge at the Hotel Chandler (formerly Le Marquis), stocked with board games, books and a 40-inch flat-screen TV. Guests may be spending the bulk of their downtime here, since most of the hotel’s 126 rooms are can't-unfold-your-suitcase small. Really, though, it's all about the bathrooms here: Hotel Chandler is known for its sparkling white-and-blue tiled bathrooms outfitted with rain shower heads, plush terry robes and Aveda toiletries. But be warned—most of the showers are standing-room-only, meaning they don't come with a tub.
ProsThere's also an on-site sauna.
Cons
Tiny rooms; no tubs.
A Guide to the New Hotel Glut
There’s never been more lodging here, and the rooms have never looked this good.
