When one of those rare, unplanned weekends comes along, take the kids to the Prospect Park for a picnic, then follow it with a trip to the park's Audubon Center for a free, drop-in, arts-and-crafts session. Every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., staff naturalists lead structured, creative activities, using all natural materials. Lots of environmentally-correct fun!
ExtraEnter the park at Lincoln Rd. and Ocean Ave. and proceed to the Prospect Park Audubon Center in the Boathouse.
