Review

Tykwer’s latest is an odd love triangle—in which both sides of an ordinarily unhappy couple start to have secret affairs with the same man—but it’s been gussied up with forays into the metaphysical and fleeting bits of number theory. The diverse elements don’t quite always work, but the three central performances and Tykwer’s directorial eye keep things interesting.
