This powerful documentary about the controversial Chinese artist-filmmaker-blogger is less a biography and more a look at his emergence from art-world cause célèbre to international icon of action and protest. Nevertheless, director Klayman gets impressively close to the artist, providing us with a compelling glimpse of what makes him tick.
