Jiro Dreams of Sushi
(No longer in theaters)
Kevin Iwashina, Matt Weaver, Tom Pellegrini, David Gelb
Mar 9, 2012
This modest, low-key portrait of octogenarian sushi master Jiro Ono and his unassuming yet world-famous restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro, could have been more profound and probing, but Ono’s meditative perfectionism gives it a center—and the film does offer a pretty engaging look at the art of sushi-making.
