Found-footage experimental filmmaker Craig Baldwin’s latest is a dense, inventive sci-fi flick blending schlocky genre tropes, jet propulsion, the occult, and a supposed galactic conspiracy by L. Ron Hubbard into an often hilarious, sometimes inscrutable, always original film that’s part pop-cultural fantasia, part capitalist critique. Essential for fans of avant-garde cinema; others may want to bone up on Baldwin’s previous work before taking a plunge here.
