Dustin Hoffman, who was once one of the faces of the New Hollywood, goes all Masterpiece Theatre on us with this gentle, funny, and only occasionally cloying film about a retirement home full of ex-musicians putting on a show to save their financially troubled abode, and the various personal entanglements that ensue.
