Rome & Jewel, A High-School Musical that's REAL

Overall Rating: 10 (Highly Recommended)
For all of you that feel there is too much "camp" in a lot of the films that are geared toward younger viewers these days, we can thank our lucky stars for Rome & Jewel. A modern street take on the classic tale written by Shakespeare, here is a movie that surprises
it's audience with a cast that carries the film. The leads, Nate Parker and Lindsey Haun, attractive and believable till the last breath. I loved the passionate music and sweet beats that brought me to tears at moments. Actor, Greg Siff brings a slicing and biting madness to the character Ty, and Cleavant Derricks is a force to be reckoned with. Director Charles T. Kanganis uses light as his palette and creates a stunning views of beauty amongst all the pain and misery of South Central L.A. Star Crossed Lovers, I highly recommend this movie.
