Michael Rapaport completely inhabits his role as a hapless meter maid whose new medication makes him imagine he has superpowers—even as the film transforms from a comedy into a thriller, before winding up as a dark, sober drama of identity. The low-budget effort has its rough spots, but its look at the fragility of reality and perception is undeniably compelling.
