Pacino’s an aging ex-con just out of prison; Walken is his only friend and former partner-in-crime—who has been tasked with whacking him. A mostly undistinguished entry in the “senior-citizen hoodlums” genre, Stevens’s film does have a couple of touching moments, as well as a subdued, very human performance from a decidedly un-weird Walken.
