Despite the much-hyped presence of 2009 “It” girl Mulligan in this melodrama about a pregnant teenager who moves in with the family of her recently dead boyfriend, the real revelation here is Brosnan, whose riveting humanity in the role of the grieving father brings this mostly awkward film to life.
