Review

There’s plenty of atmosphere to spare in writer-director Mahoney’s rough, semi- autobiographical indie, set in Queens, perhaps one of the only American dramas in recent memory to center on a mixed-race protagonist. Unfortunately, the limp story line and opaque narrative style keep it from building up the emotional firepower it needs.
