Review

Chazz Palminteri’s characteristically understated performance as the titular con artist taking care of his mentally disabled son is the main attraction in this sensitive but dramatically inert drama. Christine Lahti provides fine backup as our hero’s girlfriend, but lackluster direction threatens to sink the endeavor.
