Stand-up may have lost its cool, but smart kids still are flocking to the Big Terrific on Wednesdays to hear the "high-end comedy" stylings of Gabe Liedman, Jenny Slate, and Best Week Ever talking head Max Silvestri, along with a rotating collection of young comedians including YouTube sensation John Roberts (of "Christmas Tree" fame) and McLaughlin Group spoofers Noah Garfinkel and Joe Mande. Judging from the laughs, and the audience full of bloggers and other well-connected funny people, the place is bound to launch a few careers out of the YouTube universe and on to the actual tube. — Jay Barmann
