A superstar in his native Israel, folk-rocker David Broza has kept a pretty low profile since his excellent 1989 English-language debut, Away From Home. But that hasn't stopped his annual Not Exactly Christmas Eve concert from becoming a Hanukkah tradition. And though the songs tend toward not necessarily religious themes like peace and hope, we suspect it won't be entirely secular. After all, Broza recently filmed a concert for PBS with Shawn Colvin and Jackson Browne at Masada, the breathtaking rock plateau near the Dead Sea famed for an ancient mass suicide by Jewish fugitives running from the Romans.
