Paint Nite NYC elevates the popular BYOB drinking-and-painting concept by taking it out of fluorescent-lit studios and into charming restaurants and lounges. The $65 fee covers a canvas, paintbrushes, acrylics, an apron, an experienced art teacher specializing in wildlife, landscapes, or beach scenes—basically everything you need to walk out with a finished painting in two hours. Drying time between steps doubles as a chance to order a new round of drinks (temporary studios were recently set up in Sarabeth’s Tribeca and Revel) and catch up with friends. And if you still want to chat after the class ends, you’re in luck: You’re already at a bar.
