Pity poor Sarah Boxer, who had the unenviable task of combing the Internet for blog posts worth printing for her best-of collection, Ultimate Blogs: Masterworks From the Wild Web. She clearly did her footwork. There are a few ringers, like The Rest Is Noise blogger Alex Ross—he accompanies her tonight in a reading of his spot-on music commentary. But the rest are fresh discoveries—discourses on dark matter, a comic centered on a ball of dung, and the neo-Hemingway-esque posts of Jennie Portnof, who in her latest blog entry, "Jennie the Lion," informs us she will be reading tonight about "the 1st time i met donald and he wasn't a meth freak living in his mom's basement."
