Mulled Red Wine

2 bottles red wine, preferably merlot
2 oranges, cut into quarter wheels
8 cloves for stuffing oranges
2 cinnamon sticks
One cup sugar (or to taste)


Place the cloves in the orange wheels. Put all ingredients in a large saucepan on the stove over low heat. Serve when warm (but do not boil). (Published 2009)
