This Queens outpost marks the third location of the gourmet burger bistro. The corner spot’s large windows let natural light into the spacious dining room, which is decorated by butcher scales and Edison bulbs suspended from an abattoir meat-hook track running along the ceiling. The namesake burger here is a thick and juicy ten-ounce patty topped with melted gruyère cheese, sweet caramelized onions, and a spoonful of rosemary aïoli, on a buttery white roll. The rest of the burger menu covers all the bases, with options like cheddar-bacon, Italian turkey, ahi tuna, lamb kofta, veggie, and inside-out (lettuce-wrap) styles. The shoestring fries (that come à la carte) take a definite backseat, but can be substituted for cornmeal-crusted onion rings with both a house sauce (described as Big Mac sauce with celery) and a Roquefort bleu cheese cream for dipping. Beer options t0tal nearly 100, and there's an even more extensive wine selection.
