Profile

Even though the name of this stylish midtown restaurant means "crazy water," referring to the traditional southern-Italian practice of cooking a whole fish in seawater, its once seafood-centric menu has been expanded to include various crowd-pleasing preparations of beef, poultry, and game. Bistecca alla Fiorentina and pappardelle with porcini mushrooms make the premises safe for fishphobes.

Recommended Dishes

Orata Acqua Pazza (whole baked fish), $35; veal medallions, $20-$25; grilled swordfish, $28

the mahi mahi was very tender and tasty with the eggplant side dish. the tiramisu was excellent but i was jealous of the choice of dessert made by my coworker of the special three chocolates. i need to go back and try that. the presentation was beautiful.

this is a nice cosmo looking space in midtown. different that italian menu (most fish) trying to be more "gourmet" in preparation and presentation. It comes off. the staff is a little bit trying too hard.
