Devon Gilroy's cooking shines here far more than it did at his last gig at East Side Social Club. Given the free rein of "pan-Mediterranean," his menu roves from perfectly grilled octopus to a Calabrian eggplant dish with almost Asian notes to serious lamb mains; there's also a Greek-focused wine list. The grown-up-feeling room is decorated in vintage Italian film stills.
Recommended DishesNew Mexican Red Chili sausage, $7; Buffalo ricotta crostini, $9; octopus a la plancha, $16; wild mushrooms with young pecorino, slow poached meadow creek egg, $15; eggplant with calabrian chili honey vinaigrette, toasted sesame, minted yogurt, $12
