This Mediterranean restaurant is named after Turkey’s southern coastal province, a tourist mecca of impossibly blue water and World Heritage architecture. Some of the tastier representations of Turkish cuisine are a thicker variation of tzatziki called haydari, spicy red-lentil patties formed into fingers, and the finely seasoned Turkish meatballs shaped and sized like lamb sliders. And although the wine list isn’t exclusively devoted to Turkey (there are bottles from Argentina, Chile, and Spain), you will find at least one red and one white from the motherland alongside Efes, a Turkish beer, and Uludağ, Turkey’s answer to Sprite. The space itself is actually many spaces: an informal group of tables with wagon-wheel sides up front, a pair of “tables for two” under a seascape mural in the hall across from the open kitchen, and a beige room at back. With its stately sconces, red-carpet runner, open central area, and wraparound banquette, it resembles a respectable, mid-priced hotel’s forgotten convention room.


There is a second dining room upstairs that can be rented for events, but take note that the ceiling is extremely low.
