This place is as Upper East Side as a jitney ride to Wainscott. Yet it also has a try-anything-once attitude toward seafood: Hey, buddy, we got a pan-Asian sushi bar, a wood-burning grill, a big lobster pot. Tell us what you want, and it’s yours. We have been here multiple times and most times have been excellent -- very occasionally a server may not be the best (the last time we were there), but overall its been lovely -- the managers are great and the atmosphere is fun -- if you can't get in you can eat at the bar too which is great if you have the urge but didn't have the time to make a reservation or to wait if there's no room. I'm really shocked to see negative reviews of this place. It's both mine and my boyfriend's favorite restaurant in Manhattan-- and we've eaten at a lot of good places (Nobu, Tao, Buddakan, Pastis, Capital Grille.) The food here is delicious-- we always get the spring rolls, some maki rolls, and the pear walnut salad for appetizers-- all delicious. Always loved all our entrees. Their cocktails are awesome. The service is top-notch. I highly recommend this place!
