Profile

This venue is closed.

Cobble Hill’s jumping Smith Street has become the most family-friendly part of town, and Banania Café fits right in. The easygoing, attentive staff welcomes parents and their tots to enjoy ridiculously inexpensive steak-frites and a wonderful array of wines and desserts. Statues of Tin Tin supervise from the shelves.

I am always satisfied with my food at Banania. The brunch is a great value, and the food at all meals is very, very satisfying. I'm never blown away by the dining experience, but it is always worth the money. The atmosphere is the right mix of casual and fun, but classy. One plus is that the manager (owner?) is always on site and is very good looking and friendly.

Banania is my favorite place to go for brunch. They give you fresh chocolate croissants, bread, and yummy jam. The atmosphere is very french and the place has a very warm feel to it.
