Though it's smack dab in Third Avenue's hub of frat-boy bars, Bar 515 sets itself apart with a relatively good gender balance and tasty Greek-themed menu choices like grilled octopus and Mediterranean yogurt with fresh fruit. Still, it's a sports bar at heart, and the day's games fill the large flat-screen TVs, at least three of which are visible from any spot in the house. Likewise, diners are advised to stick to tried-and-true Y-chromosome favorites like filling chicken tenders with honey dip, mountains of molten-cheese nachos, and crispy, satisfying fries. Don’t bother with the bar's mojitos and other tropical cocktails; instead, explore the impressive supply of domestic and foreign beers. Bar 515 is like the college boyfriend who was the "sensitive" Alpha Delt, who genuinely tried to like Fellini films but really would rather have been watching the Ohio State game.

The kitchen closes daily at 1 a.m.
