Profile

Terrance Brennan's Artisanal spinoff in the former Trigo space boasts a “bar du fromage” serving artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, plus a wood-fired oven turning out French-style pizzas (“pissaladieres”) such as sheep’s milk ricotta, fava beans, and mint pesto. Among the $20-and-under plates: warm carpaccio Black Angus with truffle dressing; stuffed skate with leeks and daube sauce; cod, potato, chorizo served with parsley pistou; and a menu du burgers including a lamb burger with goat-cheese fondue.

Prix-Fixe Menus

During brunch and lunch, there is a prix-fixe option of two courses for $21 or three courses for $28.

Lunch until 5:00 pm is a joke

Had a 2:30 pm reservation for Sunday Brunch with 3 friend (brunch is supposedly served until 5:00 pm). The prix fixe brunch includes a choice of an appetizer or salad, a breakfast entree and dessert. Three of the 7 brunch entrees were not available and 3 of the 5 desserts were not available - those, needless to say, being the most appetizing of the choices. Although the place was almost empty, the omelettes were almost cold, I was served a decaf espresso instread of a normal espresso and we were charged for an appetizer that was supposed to be included in the prix fixe. Will never return and will advise friends to go elsewhere...

Excellent! Service is now amazing!

Great lunch deal-$21 for any 2 items + any dessert. Food was excellent. Service that some reviews and a few people have complained about was one of the very best I have ever encountered anywhere. My napkin had inadvertently fallen on the floor during my meal & I had not realized it. The waiter innocuously replaced it - picking it up in one swift motion & handing me a clean replacement. My friend, whose entree of cod was excellent but somewhat small, wanted a few more bites of my entree after his plate & silverware had been cleared away. As soon as I spooned some of my food on to his bread plate, our waiter brought over a fork & knife for my friend, without us having to signal to him. My entree of skate was excellent... one of he best I've had in the city. but since I am on a healthy eating kick, I'd have liked it even more if it wasn't fried & was pan roasted or baked instead.
