Profile

Drawn by Front Street’s potential to become the next Stone Street, Pepe Rosso alums Claudio Marini (Caffe Linda) and Stefano Barbagallo (Paprika) sell upscale Italian groceries from burrata to speck, plus prepared foods like fava-and-pecorino salad, spaghetti alla chitarra, and open-faced veal-tonnato sandwiches for takeout and catering.

My family is from Calabria and I love food. The owner is a great guy and so is the staff. They have 2 locations next to each other. Make sure to eat in the back of the market as there's a beautiful room with a skylight (you can't tell from the street). The pastas, salumi & cheeses are amazing. I love their spaghetti pesto and their lasagna is hearty. They have homemade almond cookies that taste like my grandmother made them. It's a great find!

great find!

i highly recommend this place...certainly the best food in the hood by far, if you are looking for really reasonably priced authentic italian fare. New extension is absolutely gorgeous and the selection is unbelievable! just charming!
