Profile

In 2009, after a fifteen-year run on East 54th Street, chef-partner Pascal Petiteau left the bistro Jubilee. A year later, he revived many of his signature Gallic classics in the new environs of Bistro Vendôme, a larger space four blocks north, best known for once housing date-night specialist March. Petiteau has gained a reputation for moules-frites, available here in five variations, in addition to escargots, fish soup, and seasonally appropriate specials like cassoulet and beef-cheek shepherd’s pie. Another seasonal attraction: the rooftop terrace, overlooking the Queensboro Bridge and awaiting its spring debut.
