Does Thomas Keller do casual? See for yourself at the latest Bouchon Bakery (the first is in Northern California), where mere mortals can afford to tuck into something other than a Jamba Juice while traipsing through the Time Warner Center. One floor beneath Per Se, the 60-seat café occupies some surprisingly exposed real estate (in the hallway outside the Aveda boutique). Boulangerie-style fare, like roast-pork-tonnato tartine and three-bean soup with rosemary pistou, are also available for takeout at the nearby retail counter, where Per Se pastry chef Sébastien Rouxel presides over the production of everything from croissants to “Nutter Butters.” — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld

Delightful little meals!

I had a wonderful toasted ham and cheese sandwich on a baguette and I appreciated the lovely little side salad that came with it - excellent house dressing! My friend suggested the bakery's take on the "Nutter Butter" for dessert - I'm not into sweets but I thought it was absolutely fantastic! It's a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for - fresh, delightful little meals!

Excellent quality food all around, very fresh and perfectly crafted. It is quite pricey, but makes for a great lunchtime splurge. The curried chicken salad sandwich is out of this world, and the sticky buns are to die for. It's perfect to take out a sandwich and a pastry for lunch in the park.
