With its quick service, plentiful portions, and convenient, F-train location, Brooklyn Pita is unabashedly about takeout. Entrées such as chicken or lamb shawarma come with a free side from the self-service salad bar, which offers 10 or so options including stewed eggplant and onion and a hyper-lemony tabouli. With exposed brick and a colored-glass light fixture overhead, Brooklyn Pita is a slight step up from the usual white-walled, fluorescent-lit delivery destinations. And since seating is restricted to a small bar area along the front window, most people, especially staffers from nearby Methodist Hospital, just dash in and dash out.
