With shelves stocking everything an NYU undergrad might require, from beer and ramen to peanut butter and aspirin, Bully’s deli is a 24-hour source of sustenance for students and their near neighbors. Hanging lamps illuminate the gleaming counters in the ordering area as well as a salad bar. The staggering menu, posted on the long walls behind the counters, offers more than 100 sandwiches, grilled wraps, and panini. Early birds will find a slew of breakfast options and a fresh juice bar, as well as the ubiquitous wrapped muffins. Entrées like the crunchy honey-dipped fried chicken and the juicy meatloaf are reliably good if unsurprising. The one major shortfall is seating; four lonely stools at the very back offer the deli’s only repose.
