Prospect-Lefferts Gardens locals favor this colorful cantina as a place to escape the Q-train clamor and chat over well-mixed $5 margaritas and generous quesadillas. Orange and red lanterns and year-round Christmas lights illuminate a lively bar scene, while young families and their middle-aged neighbors tuck into more substantial offerings. Created by Brooklyn restaurateur Jim Mamary of Patois and Pacifico, Enduro serves up standard Mexican dishes with a few haute highlights. (Check out the impressive tequila list.) Hearty entrées include competent grilled salmon with mango salsa and el plato azul (the blue-plate special); fish tacos and enchiladas from the “street food” menu are lighter on both the stomach and the wallet. Save room for dessert: The banana fritters with sweet mango cream may be the best use of tropical fruit this side of the border.
