Profile

This venue is closed.

This outlet of Cheesesteak Factory provides dignified fast food from a takeout window right off Prospect Park. The fittingly named Prospect Park cheesesteak comes with grilled bits of meat from Lioni’s in Bensonhurst pouring out of a soft roll, with just the right amount of melted provolone cheese. All the steaks have the option of packing sautéed spinach or broccoli rabe on top. Apart from the house specialty, there are also burgers, hot dogs, jalapeño poppers, waffle fries, and a nacho “salad,” plus some less-junky junk food. The veggie supreme, with grilled eggplant and portobello mushrooms on a roll, is as simple as it sounds—and delicious. A straggly knish wouldn’t pass at a kosher deli, but suffices for a creamy fried-potato fix. The proximity to the park works for lunch under a tree, but if you don’t want to fidget around on the grass, there are a few picnic tables in the lot shared with an Uncle Louie G. And you won’t be far from dessert.
